belinda is a cross-disciplinary folk artist, covering a range of styles in both digital and traditional mediums.

belinda’s confident use of colour and figurative approach evokes a certain playfulness, paying homage to the illustrative artists/designers of the 60’s and 70’s, with a contemporary sophistication.

her work is highly imaginative, creative and very original in a world of sometimes cookie cutter similarities. it stands out from the crowd. her ability to balance complex colour combinations and design elements whilst still maintain unity is a real feature of her technique.

born and bred in the wake of an extinct volcano, & after completing a bachelor of visual arts at southern cross university, belinda moved to the big smoke for a spell. she then set off to traverse the universe for several years before returning to australia and studying illustration.

belinda now divides her time between melbourne and the picturesque valley of piggabeen.
a recent graduate and emerging artist, belinda is currently working on illustrating a book of her short stories.
